ON ENTEND DES FEMMES AU LOIN (“WE HEAR WOMEN IN THE DISTANCE”)

Lecture par SERGE VALETTI & CAMILLE CHAMOUX

Toutaristophane, “allaristophanes” still resonates in your ears. Remember, it was  the crazy challenge of one of our most prolific dramatic writers, Serge Valletti. And, as we love craziness, we have been supporting him throughout this adventure. You have had a taste of the first translations with stage directions by Georges Lavaudant, you heard Aristophanes’ words in the mouth of great actors and actresses (Ariane Ascaride, Éric Elmosnino, Hervé Pierre, Nicolas Bouchaud, Marie Kauffmann, Christine Citti, Manuel Le Lièvre), you attended a theatrical marathon delivered by Valletti himself, you roared with laughter during a representation of La Strategie d’Alice (“Alice’s strategy”) at l’Odéon, as directed by Emmanuel Daumas and served by the three graces Anne Suarez, Judith Siboni et Olivia Côte... The last 20th of July, at Avignon, national public radio station France Culture immortalized  a fiction, an unheard edit of La Strategie d’Alice and Cauchemar d’homme (“Man’s nightmare”). With Camille Chamoux, they put their heart, soul and body into it. It was irresistible. They will be again amongst us this summer to (re)read On entend des femmes au loin (“We hear women in the distance”).
