First time in France

Pure Dance

France knows too little about Natalia Osipova. This determined dancer has earned her stripes at the Bolchoï before following her path at the American Ballet Theatre.

She has now joined the prestigious London Royal Ballet where her critically acclaimed performance of Odette in Swan Lake with Carlos Acosta raised her to the statute of prima ballerina. It was then all natural for our friend at Sadler’s Wells, the major house of modern dance in London, to support the creation of Pure Dance and proposed that we presented it for a French premiere.

It will be a six-part program as a great waltz through time that lets Osipova unfold the different facets of her art and show her impeccable style. From classical ballet to modern repertoire, in duet or on her own, it is a true temper that is offered to us. Inspired, precise, bold and graceful, fragile and strong, she lets blossom, through her powerful language, all the sublime paradoxes of human condition.
